Dr. Thomas Triscari

Founder & CEO of Information Technology Management (ITM)

Dr. Thomas Triscari is a proven leader in identifying and employing advanced technologies and business practices to grow sustainable value to stakeholders in mature companies and start-up enterprises alike. He is the founder and CEO of Information Technology Management (ITM), a consulting and education company with offices in Troy, NY and Fairfax, VA. Dr. Triscari actively serves on the Boards of SRC and New York State Technology Enterprise Corporation (NYSTEC), with prior service on the Boards of SRCTec, the Watervliet Innovation Center, Troy Prep Charter School, and the Cyber New York Alliance. 

With more than 20 years of experience in academia, Dr. Triscari held positions as Academic Director of Executive Programs at the RPI Lally School of Management and Technology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the Director of Drexel University's Alfred P. Sloan Center for Asynchronous Learning. 

Dr. Triscari previously served as an Officer and Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force for 18 years, completing a research fellowship as a visiting scientist at the Center of Excellence in Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence at George Mason University. 

Additionally, Dr. Triscari served as a Research Scientist in Cyber Security and Decision Science at the Air Force Research Laboratory, establishing the Griffiss Institute for Information Assurance. He was also awarded an American Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology Policy Fellowship at the United States Department of Homeland Security in Washington, D.C. focusing on Critical Infrastructure Protection.

David Rooney

Principal of DMR Group

David Rooney is a deeply experienced business executive and tech-driven economic development professional based in NY’s Capital Region. 

 

Rooney’s 30+ years of industry and government experience includes 15 years in leadership roles with the Center for Economic Growth (CEG) in Albany, serving as one of the architects of the NY Loves Nanotech effort to market the region globally for new technology investment and projects including GLOBALFOUNDRIES in Malta, NY and Applied Materials at SUNY Poly.  Among his current clients, Rooney supports CEG and the NY Loves Nanotech effort as Strategic Industry Advisor.

 

An avowed regionalist, Rooney served as President of the Berkshire Economic Development Corp in Pittsfield, MA and as a successful large-scale commercial solar project developer with 35+ MW of projects in NY and CT.

 

A graduate of the University at Albany with degrees in Political Science and English, Rooney’s career includes work as a press secretary for the late U.S. Rep. Sam Stratton in Washington DC, an economic development and communications director for the late Mayor Tom Whalen of Albany and many years in communications and development with private firms and not-for-profits in healthcare, banking and energy development.
